Raisingwellbeing.com started as a way to document my findings.
It's been 12 years since I’ve been practicing the principles of positive psychology, and every time I discover something in this field, I want to share it with as many people as possible. It has been and continues to be very helpful to me in facing all the challenges that arise, and I consistently find that prevention is better than cure.
I stumbled upon positive psychology in the spring-summer of 2013, following nearly a year of challenges marked by episodes of panic attacks, anxiety, and depression triggered by burnout. To overcome those states, I tried various solutions and took several measures, which I detail here.
I came to the conclusion that if I had known some of the practices, interventions, and science in this field (positive psychology) back then, those episodes might never have occurred, or at least that period would have been easier to overcome. As psychologist Martin Seligman says, 'Preventive interventions would save an ocean of tears."
Over the years, I’ve collected notes, ideas, and observations, and recently organized them into a step-by-step program. Guided by the motto “Create the things you would like to use.” I’m continuously learning about Positive Psychology and plan to pursue a master’s degree in this field.
I’ve noticed that more and more people are dealing with mental health issues, which is why I believe it’s important now to pay attention to this topic and discuss it openly.
Positive psychology is not a universal panacea, but I’ve discovered that it’s very beneficial for mental health.🌟🌼
The main message I want to convey is related to the importance we should give to mental health. There are many solutions, methods, and scientific principles that can help us in this regard. My ambition is to bring people closer to the science and practice of positive psychology for more happiness and well-being in our lives.
Find out with the help of positive psychology the lesser-known things that make a big difference to your happiness and well-being.
